Tony Gilroy, writer and director for the next Bourne movie has come out and said not only is Matt Damon going to be absent but so will the character of Jason Bourne. “This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel. No one’s replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero, a whole new chapter…this is a stand-alone project.” This is either a genius idea, a crazy idea or a bluff to get Damon back. Very odd but I have to admit I am intrigued.
