The Critics HATE ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’

A Nightmare on Elm Street has been getting blasted by critics.  It has come in at 14% fresh by Rotten Tomatoes which, even for a slasher flick, is awful.

The movie certainly doesn’t deserve the panning it is getting.  I think the backlash is revolving from the Freddy-as-a child-molester plotline when the original was more of a Freddy-a-a-child-murderer plotline.  Both are ugly topics for a teen horror romp but I guess this newest endeavor just crossed the line in critic’s eyes.

Below is a freshness comparison to the other Freddy flicks, Michael movies and Jason jaunts.
